Ingersoll-Rand Cuts 2,700 Jobs
Post Views 11Montvale, New Jersey- based industrial conglomerate Ingersoll-Rand has cut 2,700 jobs, or 4.5% of its work force, so far this year.
The firm shut down 34 facilities, including 12 factories and 14 warehouses.
Founded in 1871, Ingersoll Rand is a global provider of products and services in industries as diverse as transportation, manufacturing, construction, and agriculture. Examples include refrigeration, biometric security systems, medium to large-scale air compressors, and compact vehicles for construction and movement of people and goods.
