Iowa Governor Signs ‘I-Jobs’ Bill, Will Create ‘Thousands’ of Jobs

Iowa’s Democratic Governor Chet Culver has signed a bill to spend $830 million to upgrade the state’s infrastructure, and to rebuild after 2008’s flooding.

Culver says the plan would create tens of thousands of jobs over the next three years.

The plan relies on $765 million in bonding that would be paid back with state gaming revenues.
