Ethan AllenEthan Allen Interiors will expand its Maiden, North Carolina upholstery plant, creating 300 new jobs over three years.

The furniture manufacturer will replace 150 jobs lost in recent layoffs, and add 152 new positions.

The firm received incentives from the One North Carolina Fund.

Danbury, Connecticut’s Ethan Allen Global is a North American furniture chain with almost 300 stores across the United States and Canada. It was founded in 1932 by two brothers-in-law, Nathan S. Ancell and Theodore Baumritter. In 2005, it employed 5,800 people. It has eight manufacturing facilities in the United States and one in Mexico.
