NCICTwo community programs will join forces to create more high-paying jobs in New Hampshire and Vermont.

The Northern Community Investment Corporation and Vested for Growth plan to identify local businesses with strong growth potential and offer them technical and financial support. The hope is that these businesses will be able to create new, good-paying jobs.

The groups hope the jobs will help keep young people from fleeing the region.

The Johnsbury, Vermont-based NCIC is a a private, non-profit, community based corporation established in 1975 to promote development in Northeastern Vermont and Northern New Hampshire.

Concord, New Hampshire’s Vested for Growth was launched by the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund in 2002 to put capital and tested tools to work for small businesses in New Hampshire. It offers creative financing to businesses whose growth needs don’t fit the criteria of senior bank debt or equity.
