Hachette Taps Mahony as Group HR Director

Dominic Mahony is joining Hachette as group human resources director. He replaces Susan Taylor, who will leave the firm in October.

He was most recently HR Director at mobile phone company 02 UK. Prior to that, he spent five years as HR Director for TUI (formerly the Thomson Travel Group), and eleven years working for Tesco in a number of different HR roles in the UK and France.

Hachette UK is the largest book publisher in the UK. The Group is made up of several publishing companies and imprints including Headline Publishing Group, Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray, Orion Publishing Group, Octopus Publishing Group, Little, Brown Book Group, Hodder Education Group, and Chambers Harrap.

Hachette UK is owned by Hachette Livre, a global publishing group based in France, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of media company Lagardère.
