Dallas Gaining Jobs With Wind Turbine Facility

A Chinese wind turbine manufacturer inked a deal with the city of Dallas to build a new production facility that could bring up to 400 new jobs to the area.

The Dallas News reports Guangdong Ming Yang Wind Power Industry Group Co. is working with the city to find a site for a facility that would build wind turbines. Managing director Wang Song said the company’s Chinese plants usually employ between 200 and 400 workers.

Guangdong will enter Dallas with a four-person staff that will be part of the company’s North American and Latin American operations.  Guandong has more than 2,000 employees after starting in 2006 with just four, the Dallas News reports.
