Auto Parts Maker Adding 230 Jobs in Nashville

tennessee_160x120LKQ Corp., a Chicago-based auto parts manufacturer, is bringing 230 new jobs to Nashville, Tenn. through the expansion of its corporate support facility at Grassmere Park, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

According to the story, LKQ plans to add 15,000 square feet to its 35,000 square-foot office in Nashville. The company is hiring in the fields of accounting, information technology and payroll. Openings can be found at nashvillejoblink.com.

“We appreciate the level of interest and commitment offered by the city of Nashville and state of Tennessee,” John Quinn, executive vice president and chief financial officer of LKQ Corp., said in a news release. “Positioning ourselves in Nashville with its favorable pro-business environment, geographic centrality and great people makes sense for us.”

LKQ is likely to obtain a number of state tax incentive programs through the move, the Nashville Business Journal report. LKQ, which sells recycled and refurbished parts for cars and trucks, operates 290 facilities nationwide.
