114414dhgmqgs5Global hospitality and travel company, Carlson, has appointed a new executive vice president of human resources.

Elizabeth Bastoni, former head of global compensation and benefits at The Coca-Cola Company, will step in as the new executive vice president of hr, succeeding Jim Porter, who will retire after eight years with Carlson.

“Elizabeth’s strong background in all facets of human resources, including talent development and management, organizational development, and compensation and benefits will support our Ambition 2015 strategy to build a global team and organization and to become the employer of choice in the hospitality and travel industry,” said president and CEO of Carlson, Hubert Joly. “In fact, a key mission for Elizabeth will be to work with our businesses on the development of a strategy to achieve this ambition, in support of our business objectives.”

In addition to her senior HR experience with Coca-Cola, Bastoni has served as the vice president of human resources at Thales Group, a Paris Based electronics company.

Carlson is a global operation, with about 150,000 employees across 150 countries and territories. Carlson owns popular nationwide chains such as T.G.I. Friday’s and the Radisson hotel.
