McDonalds-160x120

On April 19, McDonald’s is planning on hiring up to 50,000 people for its restaurants across the United States.  The fast food chain is facing increased staffing needs due to more of its restaurants being open 24 hours a day.  It is planning on hiring both full and part-time workers for its restaurants.

McDonald’s typically has an annual summer staff increase, but this year it has created more publicity surrounding its hiring to put the company in a positive light.  This hiring will increase McDonald’s total U.S. employees to 700,000.

McDonalds will be looking to fill positions such as managers, restaurant crew, and many other positions during this new hiring spree.

Jan Fields, president of McDonalds U.S.A., says that the average pay for these new positions will be $8.30 an hour, which is definitely higher than federal minimum wage, which is $7.25 an hour.  Also, managers working at McDonalds can make as much as $50,000 every year.
