Companies Increase Layoffs in US

The economic recovery is far out of sight due to companies resorting to a high level of layoffs not seen in the last year. Lockheed Martin Corp, Borders Group Inc and Cisco Systems Inc. have recently announced a very high number of layoffs of their staff, which is only adding to unemployment instead of bringing it down.
