Deal Struck with 3 Grocers in Southern California to Avert Strike
Post Views 0There was a threatened strike today from 62,000 supermarket union workers in Southern California that are work at Albertsons, Ralphs, and Vons that was averted by more than 24 hours of negotiations on behalf of the workers. A tentative agreement was reached which has to be approved by members of the union before it takes effect. According to the United Food and Commercial Workers union, “The agreement increases wages, protects health care and pension benefits throughout the life of the three-year contract.”
