Talent communities are becoming more and more popular in the world of human resources today, which help employers connect with the best talent possible. On the other side of things, talented job seekers want the best jobs available. Just because a person has submitted a well-written resume it does not mean that they will be the most talented person available for a job.

Creating a talent community will allow your company to engage with candidates who are talented enough to fill the job vacancies at your company. By using a talent community you will be able to converse and spectate while the talent interacts with others in the community regarding various items. Those items include the industry, their profession, economic and political factors that impact their job field, job functions and much more.

When it comes to building an excellent talent community, you will need to follow the three tips outlined in this article according to Business Insider.

The first piece of advice is to make the talent community accessible. This means job candidates will be able to find your talent community on their own, without much hassle. When you advertise the talent community on your company’s career’s site, be sure it is not buried on the site. Provide links to that site in emails, on the home page, and in conversation with job candidates.

It does not hurt to recruit often. Job seekers are temporary people. A talent group will not hold the same people for long periods because these job seekers are some of the most talented around and will pounce on the best job openings that they find in their field. This means that to keep the talent group filled you must continually add new people to the group. Make sure you give the members of the group content other than just jobs. This will help them to stay around the group and refer your talent group to other talented workers they know. Make sure your company has an online presence, one that operates in social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

The third and final tip is to facilitate participation as much as possible. Having a successful talent group means that the communication within the group is the best in the company. Job candidates will want to visit the talent group each day to talk and listen as more and more new conversations spring up.

As the employer running the company, you should be active in talking with the talent group as much as possible. This will make the candidates feel welcome in the group and they will want to interact with the other members. Employers should ask questions, add input, listen to comments, and pose workplace scenarios.

Company news, events, and newsletters should be shared with members of the talent group. You can also share community updates by using featured articles.
