How Much is that Senate Seat in the Window?

Want a college diploma? According to my SPAM inbox, you can buy one. How about a position in the nation’s most elite legislative body? Yep, you can buy that, too. Or you could until now. . . .Today the FBI arrested Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich for offering to more/less “sell” Barack Obama’s vacant senate seat for money, a job for him and his wife and other unbelievable shenanigans, including threatening to rescind funding to a Children’s Hospital for not giving him cash kickbacks. Classy.

Though it was a sad day for government, citizens are finding humor in the situation: some clever jokester listed the Senate Seat for sale on EBay, while others chuckle about the fact that Blagojevich was considering a run for president in 2016.
