Question: I’m a school counselor and I’m planning a career day presentation with professionals representing various careers. The preparation for this includes developing a curriculum, and I need the latest data on projections for the 21st century – which skills will be in demand, which are declining, salary projections, etc. Where can I find the most accurate and reliable data?
– Jerilynn, Port Orchard, Wash.
Jerilynn: There’s no better resource for hiring and salary projections than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Their data can be somewhat dated (you’re still getting projections made years ago), but no other information of this kind is as well collected or arranged. And it’s free.
