Governor Bev Purdue wants BRAIIIIIIINS!!!An aviation company will get $44,000 from a state economic development fund to add 120 jobs in the North Carolina Triad, Governor Bev Perdue announced.

The Triad is a region of North Carolina in the Piedmont, that consists of the area centered around the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point.

Piedmont Aviation said it will invest $5.8 million and create 120 jobs in Kernersville, by relocating its sister company, Limco, to the Triad.

Limco, now based in Oklahoma, provides repair and maintenance services to the aerospace industry and makes heat-transfer equipment for aircraft manufacturers.

The 120 new jobs will pay an average of $44,805 a year, not including benefits. This is higher than the Forsyth County average annual wage of $39,936.

Perdue said the Piedmont Aviation move was made possible in part by a $44,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which provides financial assistance to attract business projects.
