BGS Limited, which is owned by Smyrna Mayor Bob Spivey, may expand its current facility in Smyrna. Or, he might send the facility and the jobs to one of two other counties bidding for the expansion.
The new jobs will pay up to $50,000 a year. Smyrna’s unemployment rate was 10.9%, double the rate in 2008.
