Bayer CropScience to Hire 128 High Wage Earners

Bayer CropScience will hire 128 people over the next five years, as part of a $10.2 million expansion in Morrisville, North Carolina.

The new jobs will pay an average of $100,000 per annum. The state has offered Bayer CropScience incentives of up to $2.3 million.

The Bayer CropScience Research & Development Innovation Center will conduct biotech research.

Bayer AG is a German chemical and pharmaceutical company founded in Barmen, Germany in 1863. Today it is headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany. It is well-known for its original brand of aspirin. Bayer is the third largest pharmaceutical company in the world.

In 2002 Bayer AG acquired Aventis CropScience and merged it with their own agrochemicals division to form Bayer CropScience.
