Missouri Governor Signs Jobs Bill
Post Views 2Missouri Governor Jay Nixon signed his jobs bill into law today, at an event at St. Louis Community College.
The bill increases the annual cap on tax credits for businesses under the Quality Jobs Program, from $60 million to $80 million; raises the annual cap on tax credits through the Missouri Business Use Incentives for Large-Scale Development from $15 million to $25 million; and provides funding for pre-employment training activities under the state’s Job-Training Program.
The state lost nearly 11,000 jobs in March, as its unemployment rate hit 8.7%.
