Census Bureau to Hire 2,000 in Indiana
Post Views 3The United States Census Bureau’s National Processing Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana, will hire 2,000 people for the 2010 census.
The hirings are being carried out in three stages, with the first group of 200 clerk hirings already underway. The clerks will be responsible for filing, processing and preparing documents, shipping, processing mail and computer work.
In July, the facility will begin hiring 500 data transcribers. All the jobs will be temporary, and last through the 2010 census. Temp workers may apply for permanent positions.
