International Battery Adds 300 Pennsylvania Jobs
Post Views 0Upper Macungie Township, Pennsylvania’s International Battery will add 300 local jobs by the end of 2010, if it receives a $100 million federal Department of Energy grant to expand its industrial battery manufacturing plant.
The plant produces large lithium batteries used by electric utilities, electric vehicles, and by the Army to provide mobile power for soldiers.
Founded in 2004, International Battery moved its headquarters from New Jersey to Pennsylvania last year. It employs 55 workers in Upper Macungie Township.
