Wingate to Command Army HRC-St. Louis

hrc_160x120Field Artillery officer Col. Louis B. Wingate has assumed command of the Army Human Resources Command-St. Louis.

He will be the last to command the unit, which will relocate to the Human Resources Center of Excellence at Fort Knox, Kentucky, in June 2010.

Wingate was deputy commander before the retirement of Col. Wanda L. Good. He will oversee 270 soldiers and 560 civilian employees.

Wingate earned a master’s degree in management from Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri. He has been in the Army more than 24 years, and his military education included the Army Force Management College, Command & General Staff College, various field artillery qualification courses, and Airborne School.

The United States Army Human Resources Command, often known as HRC, is the main personnel headquarters for the United States Army. The site of HRC is in Overland, Missouri, where the office shares a common building with the Military Personnel Records Center.
