Dendreon to Open Atlanta Pharma Plant

Seattle, Washington’s Dendreon plans to construct a $70 million manufacturing facility near Atlanta, Georgia, creating hundreds of jobs.

The plant will manufacture Provenge, a treatment for patients with advanced prostate cancer. The drug is under review by the Food and Drug Administration, and the plant will open when the product is approved.

Dendreon is a biotechnology company that currently employs 250 people.
