Liz Claiborne Appoints Piovano Machacek V.P of HR

Lisa Piovano Machacek has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Liz Claiborne. She joined Liz Claiborne in 1988 as an assistant in product development and transitioned to human resources in 1999, according to a company press release. Piovano Machacek has served in a variety of H.R. positions for Liz Claiborne, including most recently V.P. of human resources for partnered brands.

“Lisa is a longtime Liz Claiborne associate with roots in product development and has a profound understanding of the fashion business,” said CEO William McComb. “She will play an integral role in the next phase of our five-year turnaround.”

Piovano Machacek replaces Beth Reeves, who left Liz Claiborne in May 2009.
