aeronAeron Advanced Manufacturing plans to move 33 jobs currently being performed in China to its plant in Mason City, Iowa. The company, which makes home fragrance and air-care devices, said the jobs will reach Iowa during the next three years.
“We are thrilled to be able to move jobs back to the U.S. and provide those jobs to Iowans,” said Patrick Kosar, Aeron chief executive officer. “All of the news concerning manufacturing jobs over the past decade or so has been about jobs leaving the U.S. and going overseas.

“It’s great to be able to reverse the trend. Hopefully other companies in Iowa and elsewhere will follow suit.”

Aeron currently employs 42 workers at its Mason City plant. It provides products to several retail chains, including Bath & Body, Target and Williams Sonoma, according to the Mason City Globe Gazette.
