Supreme Court to Review Arizona’s Divisive Immigration Law
Post Views 1In a move likely to enliven both sides of the debate surrounding Arizona’s divisive immigration law, the U.S. Supreme Court has announced plans to hear arguments in the case. The Court’s review will primarily focus on the constitutionality of the state’s law which authorizes local and state officials to engage in a variety of immigration enforcement activities under certain circumstances. The case comes to the court after a District Court issued an injunction to prevent parts of the law from going into effect and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld that decision.
