Speedway Group to Hire 150 in North Carolina

Charlotte, North Carolina’s Speedway Investment Group is planning a $50 million revitalization project that would create 150 jobs in Derita.

The group will announce plans to expand racing and entertainment facilities at the Metrolina Tradeshow Expo grounds, creating a tourist destination.

Derita is a neighborhood of Charlotte with a population of 1,802. Metrolina Tradeshow Expo is one of Charlotte’s largest and most versatile event facilities with climate controlled buildings, outdoor exhibit space and on-site parking. The customer parking area can accommodate up to 20,000 vehicles.
