Urban Brands Hires Brown as Exec Veep of HR

Urban Brands has hired David Brown as Executive Vice President of Human Resources.

He joins from Linens ‘n Things, where he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Previously he worked for RH Macy’s, Korn Ferry International, Pen James & Associates, and Bridge Partners.

Urban Brands operates two plus-size women’s retail chains, Ashley Stewart and Marianne. Ashley Stewart, which is geared towards African-Americans, has more than 220 stores in 25 US states, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands. Marianne, which caters to the Latina community, has 55 stores in the US, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
