U.S. Census Hiring 3,000 Temps in Hawaii
Post Views 0An additional 3,000 temporary workers are being hired in Hawaii to conduct the 2010 U.S. census. The jobs will begin in May and positions include census takers and enumerators, crew leaders and crew assistants.
Census officials told Business Journal they will focus on recruiting workers in the communities they will serve, including Chinatown, the Gold Coast, Makiki and Waikiki.
Worker will earn between $12.75 and $20 per hour and work as much as 40 hours for up to two months. Workers will also be paid for training and receive weekly paychecks.
