Austin Peay State University Hires New HR Director

Austin Peay State University has tapped Michael Hamlet, Tennessee State University’s associate director of human resources, to be their new director of HR.

Ted Heidloff, the former director of HR for Austian Peay, retired in June of this year.

Hamlet brings 17 years of experience in management and HR to the table and has worked for non-profits in addition to for-profit organizations. He holds a masters degree in Science in clinical psychology and a masters degree in business administraton from Murray State University.

Hamlet will begin his duties on Monday. Prior to his position at Tennesse State University, Hamlet served on Tennessee Board of Regents as the director of employee benefits.
