The federal jobs website is advertising 204 federal jobs in Michigan despite the fact that the U.S.Government is laying off thousands every week throughout the country. It may be a challenge for anyone to get into a job. Ruck and Taylor has authored a book called ” Find Your Federal Job Fit.” They suggested 11 tips that the applicants have to follow. They are: 1) Start your job search with a specific job in mind, 2) Don’t take just any job, 3)Don’t limit your job search to Washington, D.C., 4) Network, network, network, 5) Tailor your resume, 6) Promote yourself, 7) Target your search, 8) Work hard at completing the application, 9) Consider the whole pay package, 10) Don’t limit your search to USAJobs.gov., 11) Be honest about your background and experience.
