indianaflag_160x120Clarian Health has proposed a neuroscience office in Indianapolis which will create 1,200 new jobs over the next 10 years.

The project has a price tag of $192 million, and is being supported by a $38 million city tax subsidy.

“This project holds the potential for positive transformation of the 16th Street corridor. It is the next exciting step for our city,” said Mayor Greg Ballard at a news conference where the project was detailed.

Two state-of-the-art buildings will consolidate much of Clarian’s research and patient care for brain and spine disorders. Clarian is planning to transfer 1,225 jobs to the complex from approximately five sites in Marion County.
